What problem were you experiencing before joining Boost Your Body, what made you join us?
I hit a low point when I saw photos of myself taken at Christmas 2015.
I was menopausal, mid divorce, drinking too much and full of self loathing but completely lacking the motivation to do anything about it. I saw the advert for BYB on Facebook.
I'm not sure why but something in the wording just made me decide then and there that I had to take action to improve my health and fitness. A preliminary phone chat with Alex followed and I found myself signing up for a 6 week course.
Was there anything that made you hesitant or nervous about joining us?
As start day approached I d have done anything to get out of it!!! What if I couldn't manage the class? What if everyone was slim and mega fit? What was I going to wear???? Not leggings for sure!!
What had you tried before joining Boost Your Body?
I'd joined a gym previously but hated the environment, sweaty men leaving massive weights on the machines and it felt very competitive. I felt very lacking in confidence and hated it. Needless to say, I didn't last very long there.
I tried exercising at home but as I have the willpower of a flea that failed too.
Ditto any sort of healthy eating plan.
What has changed for you since you joined Boost Your Body?
So BYB was a revelation.
Like minded women of mostly my age or thereabouts who couldn't have been more welcoming or more supportive. The trainers are brilliant and go above and beyond to help you reach your goals.
I found goal setting rather daunting initially but quickly realised that the accountability was exactly what I needed. I'm amazed that not only have I lost weight and inches, I m much fitter and stronger, but at how much my self confidence has grown.
What would you say to anyone considering joining Boost Your Body and would you recommend it? If so, why?
If you're hesitating.... don't! As a famous sportswear brand says... Just do it! You won t regret it. You probably already know what it feels like to fail so what have you got to lose by finding out what success feels like instead? Leggings? Bring them on!!!
